Be strong like me and eat five tacos. I was a HUNGRY GORL. Tacos were yum yum in my tum tum. My favorite was the buche: Lots of crunchy bits! I feel like the portions are quite generous though, so by the end my tummy was bursting at the seams (ten million fireflies). I did also split the molotes which were like torpedoes of maize. Eat a weapon, become the weapon. Tortas, which were taken to-go, were just as yumilicious the next day and gave me something to live for. I preferred the Cubana bc it tasted more flavorful and saucy to me but it was a bit meat-heavy after a while. The restaurant lowkey looked like a house from the outside but the interior was retrofitted to be diner-esque. It felt like a mom-and-pop-and-youngins shop so service was very sweet and engaging, going out of their way to hook customers up with toppings or extra spicy sauces. Appreciated the banter at the cash register where we were convinced to get more food than we intended but they were right: Were we really going to skip out on the al pastor?
This place has reliably good food and great service. The pellizcadas al pastor are so delicious! I got chilaquiles there as well that were awesome.
Wow. This is some of the BEST food I've had in Columbus. My partner and I both feel so lucky to have stumbled across this hidden gem on the way home from an event. It's a pretty long drive from home, but we agree that we'll come all the way back just to eat here. It appears this used to be just a food truck, but post-COVID they've expanded to include an indoor dining area within what looks like a house from the outside. Their menu is fairly large and very reasonably priced, especially for the size and quality. The alambre portion is huge, and the photo of the chilaquiles doesn't do it justice. I had never tried the latter before, but it is sooo delicious. They have their own house made sauces as well, which are delicious and not very spicy at all. Their tacos are delicious and generously filled. (We ordered without cilantro because I have the soap gene.) The birria was a little underwhelming to be among the most expensive, but still flavorful. We just added a lot of sauce to that one since it needed something more. If you don't have the soap gene and keep the cilantro, it would probably be a lot better. The pastor is fantastic and some of the best I've had, highly recommend. The chicharron isn't something we'd usually order, but we were feeling adventurous. It's not our favorite meat choice in general, but it's actually the best chicharron I've had; very very soft and melt-in-your-mouth. Which also makes it very messy, but that's what napkins are for. Many people filtered in and out while we were still browsing the menu, but service was very quick and efficient. My partner's Spanish accent is shaky, but they were very supportive when I would cringe at his pronunciation lol. You pay at the register after ordering, so even if you dine in, there doesn't appear to be any extra fee. They definitely specialize in food rather than wait service, but we didn't have a problem with this at all. We actually kind of appreciated that a dine-in experience is pretty hands-off. You seat yourself and are brought your food, but other than this, there's no employee interaction unless you ask for it. We didn't order drinks, so I'm not sure if they come out for refills. Highly, highly recommend this restaurant. We can't wait to try more here!
Food is always amazing ! Normally get steak tacos or a steak torta ! Reccomended the fruit cups extra seasoned ! Service is always super friendly ! You can order in Spanish or english!
The food was delicious. The wait staff was kind and courteous. The seating inside is on the smaller side but during the warmer months they have a nice sized patio that you can eat on. Would definitely recommend to try and grab lunch if you are in the area. Will definitely go back when I am in the area again.
